TRAIL ECOLOGY

The OC Hiking Club helps to maintain trails in their local community. Trail ecology includes keeping trails open for the public so they can access and enjoy the great outdoors and our natural parklands. Trail ecology also includes cleaning up trash and manmade materials to recreate balance in the ecosystem. Examples of areas we can help in are; picking up Styrofoam on beachfront or lakefront areas, picking up trash around trailheads, clearing overgrown trails, etc... We are not trained in and do not handle hazardous materials. If your agency is in the local region and you need help maintaining the natural balance or keeping trails clear please contact us – we are happy to help. Our interest lies in getting our community outdoors and preserving nature for them so that they may enjoy our natural resources for generations to come.
